North Attleboro Man To Prison In Steroid Case

A North Attleboro man has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for a steroid distribution conspiracy.

David Esser was arrested a second time for continuing the conspiracy while he awaited trial in 2020.

ā€œEsser pursued his criminal enterprise and quest for profitā€” even after his first arrest in early 2020ā€”trafficking illegal steroids manufactured by the network he oversaw. Complex cases like this require collaboration and HSI is grateful to our partners for their assistance on this case,ā€ said Matthew Millhollin, Special Agent in Charge for the Homeland Security Investigationsā€™ New England Field Office.

Rhode Island U.S. Attorney Zach Cunha says Esser oversaw a sprawling illegal drug operation and funneled the profits into cryptocurrency, which he now has to forfeit.
