Refurbished Independent Man Returning To State House

The refurbished statue of the Independent Man is heading back to the State House and will be available for public viewing just in time for Rhode Island Independence Day.

Governor Dan McKee says he has his shine back and he is looking sharp.

The 14-foot statue will be returned to public view on Saturday, May 4th, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of a State House open house, then during regular weekday hours through the summer.

Plans are currently underway to return the Independent Man to the top of the State House this fall.
