(Portsmouth, RI) -- A new East Bay short-term rental ordinance is being approved. The "Newport Daily News" reports the town council in Portsmouth has passed restrictions requiring owners of rental units to register with the town annually and pay a 100-dollar fee per home. Owners have until the end of the year to do so.
