(Providence, RI) -- Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza says his fiscal year 2019 budget does not include any new taxes for the fourth consecutive year. Elorza proposed the 745-million-dollar budget at City Hall on Tuesday. He said the budget also includes more than three-million-dollars for the city's rainy day fund once again, and it marks the fourth consecutive year the city will be making 100-percent pension payments. The budget is calling for 20-million-dollars to be borrowed in bonds for improvements to school buildings.
