(Central Falls, RI) -- The Central Falls Police Department is investigating after someone was hit by an Amtrak train over the weekend. A spokesperson for Amtrak says someone was trespassing on the tracks when they were hit by a train going from Richmond, Virginia to Boston at around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, causing a delay of more than an hour. The condition of the individual who was hit is unknown. None of the 173 passengers on board were injured.
