(Pawtucket, RI) -- Plans are being made for a new development district in Pawtucket. Local and state officials were on hand last week for an announcement regarding the Conant Thread District, which will center around a new train station near the border with Central Falls. Tens of millions of dollars in funding has been committed to build the new station and surrounding transit hub by 2021. Pawtucket officials also anticipate the district will include residential and commercial development opportunities.
