(Providence, RI) -- State Senator Joshua Miller is introducing new legislation to legalize recreational marijuana in Rhode Island. The Cranston and Warwick Democrat has put forth similar bills previously, but says this new proposal will mirror the tax structure of Massachusetts, where recreational pot sales are scheduled to become legal in July. And, Miller says the state will keep some of that tax revenue from Rhode Islanders who will otherwise cross the state line to buy weed.
