(Undated) -- The state of Rhode Island is setting a new jobs record for the fifth time in seven months. Data released on Thursday by the U.S. Department of Labor indicates there are currently 499-thousand-300 jobs in the state, and the number of Rhode Islanders working is the highest in a decade. It was noted in a press release that Rhode Island has added over 16-thousand jobs since Governor Gina Raimondo took office in 2015, and that there are nearly 42-thousand manufacturing jobs in the state currently, the most since May of 2009.
