A SCHOOL SHOOTING VIDEO GAME????? YUP!

A video game set to be released next week that lets players simulate a school shooting is drawing criticism, particularly in the wake of recent mass shootings at schools. In Active Shooter, players simulating a shooting in a school environment can choose to be either a SWAT team member or the shooter, and are shown "stats" on how many civilians and police officers are killed. The game's website description says: "Depending on the role, your objective might be to protect and extract or hunt and destroy." Among the game's critics are Ryan Petty andFred Guttenburg , two fathers whose daughters were killed in the February mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, and Seantor Bill Nelson, , who represents the state. Active Shooter was developed by Revived Games and will be available on the gaming platform Steam starting on June 6th. However, because of the outcry over the game, Acid has said it will, quote, "likely remove the shooter's role." What a disgrace.
