(Newport, RI) -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Rhode Island is suing the Newport Grand Casino for sex and age discrimination. The ACLU filed the claim in federal court in Providence yesterday on behalf of a female employee who said she was being paid significantly less than a younger male employee performing the same duties in the same position. The suit seeks a ruling declaring the casino's conduct unlawful, damages and the amount the employee would have received in the absence of the discrimination.
