The Pro Jo dropped an ash can on Indy gubernatorial candidate Joe Trillo with an editorial entitled 'FATEFUL TRIP TO TRILLIGAN'S ISLAND." Trillo, a long time republican and co-chair of Donald Trump's presidential campaign in RI, decided to run as an indy, has used unconventional ways the brand his campaign including using his 65 foot yacht to troll along beaches unfurling a huge campaign banner while blasting patriotic tunes into those enjoying a day on the sand. His yacht, THE LADY M, his rocksoff the Charlestown Breachway recently, causing an hours-long scene and a Coast guard rescue. The Journal says Mr. Trillo's clever advertising scheme ran into another obstacle lablieng his version of the incident as a cover up as witnesses say he DANGEROUSLY close to the beach. Trillo denies the yacht came as close at beachgoers claim. The Journal calls the episode "an instant classic in Rhode Island political annals" and suggests Trillo's arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic...and from the WE CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP DEPARTMENT...the slogan on Trillo's website is "charting a new course for Rhode Island."
