(Providence, RI) -- New details are out about what led up to a staffer for Governor Gina Raimondo getting stabbed in the neck last week. Daniel Brown was arraigned from Rhode Island Hospital yesterday on charges of sexual assault and procuring alcohol for a person under 21, according to the Providence Police Department. Brown allegedly approached an 18-year-old, gave him vodka and sexually assaulted him at his home on Terrace Avenue, and was then stabbed out of self-defense, according to police. The Rhode Island Attorney General's Office is reviewing the case, and Brown has been placed on administrative leave, according to a spokesperson for Governor Raimondo.
