(Undated) -- The Rhode Island Department of Health is recommending reopening Third Beach in Middletown for swimming based on water samples showing acceptable bacteria levels. Three other beaches are being recommended for closures because of high bacteria levels. They are Sandy Point Beach and Conimicut Point Beach in Portsmouth, and Bristol Town Beach.
