(Boston, MA) -- A federal judge is declining to dismiss a class-action lawsuit filed by a Rhode Island woman over the federal government's immigration policy for married couples. Lillian Calderon, who was undocumented, claims she was unlawfully arrested by ICE following a marriage interview with her U.S. citizen husband and detained for nearly a month earlier this year. The ACLU of Massachusetts said yesterday that U.S. District Judge Mark Wolf denied the government's motion to dismiss the suit on Thursday after a multi-day hearing on the case in federal court in Boston. The plaintiffs say they are looking forward to having the case move forward.
