(Warwick, RI) -- People in Warwick spent their Labor Day cleaning up a vandalized memorial that was in honor of a classmate who died last year. The restoration came after white paint was discovered dumped on a rock dedicated to former Toll Gate High School student Gianna Cirella, who was 16 when she died from a blood infection. The group of students, including members of the school's soccer teams, as well as teachers and other members of the community, said they'll return on Tuesday to put the finishing touches on the restored memorial. Meanwhile, the Warwick Police Department has been notified of the vandalism.
