(Warwick, RI) -- Three Warwick men are being sentenced for their roles in a 2015 murder and dismemberment case. Attorney General Peter Kilmartin announced yesterday that Jamie and Albert Barriera and Louis Geremia all entered no contest pleas in Kent County Superior Court in connection to the death of Kerry Mello, whose torso was found by a fishing boat off Westport, Massachusetts and whose legs and feet washed up on Goosewing Beach in Little Compton. Jamie Barriera received a 35-year sentence, Albert Barriera received a ten-year sentence and Geremia received a four-year term. The prosecutor's office said Mello went to meet the group to discuss its medical marijuana grow operation when he was fatally attacked by Jamie Barriera, and his body was then cut to pieces with a hand saw.
