(Middletown, RI) -- No injuries were reported when an airplane reportedly slid off a runway at Newport State Airport in Middletown on Wednesday. The Federal Aviation Administration tells the Newport Daily News two people were aboard the single-engine aircraft when it landed and slid at around 4:30 p.m. No damage was reported to the plane. The FAA is planning to investigate.
