(Providence, RI) -- A strike for Providence school bus drivers is set to begin today after one more round of pre-strike negotiations failed to reach a resolution yesterday. Teamsters Local 251 announced it will strike against bus company First Student over a disagreement on pension funding. The two sides negotiated for several hours on Wednesday under mediation. Parents and guardians will have to figure out their own alternate transport for schoolchildren.
