(Smithfield, RI) -- Former Rhode Island state representative Raymond Fogarty has died at the age of 61. The news of Fogarty's death was passed along on Friday by the president of Bryant University. Fogarty graduated from Bryant in 1979 and later served as the executive director of the university's Chafee Center for International Business. House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello said he's deeply saddened by the death, and called Fogarty a tremendous asset for Bryant and all of Rhode Island's business community.
