(Washington, DC) -- The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved President Trump's nomination for a U.S. District Court judge seat in Rhode Island. Trump resurrected the nomination of Mary McElroy in April after President Obama had originally picked the state Public Defender in 2015. The vote must now be confirmed by the full U.S. Senate.
