ACLU Celebrates Judge's Decision In Google Money Case

(Providence, RI)  --  The Rhode Island ACLU is reacting favorably to a judge's ruling regarding lawmaker Patricia Morgan's request for information on how the Attorney General's office spent more than 50-million dollars from a settlement with Google.  The civil rights group says state Superior Court Judge Melissa Long ruled yesterday that the A.G. must waive fees for any additional documents that are delivered as part of Morgan's investigation.  The ACLU filed a court briefing supporting Morgan's request to have more than four-thousand dollars in fees demanded for the documents to be waived.  Google's forfeiture came after an investigation into advertisements for the sales of illegal prescription drugs.
