(East Greenwich, RI) -- East Greenwich Town Manager Gayle Corrigan is facing a call to resign once more after the Rhode Island Ethics Commission found probable cause of an ethics violation for the second time in less than two months. The commission's latest ruling is based on a complaint that alleges Corrigan didn't report her company receiving more than two-hundred-thousand dollars from the Central Coventry Fire District, where she is the manager. Corrigan also allegedly hired and supervised a business associate as the town's finance director. Dr. Mark Schwager, a member of the East Greenwich Town Council, is repeating his call for Corrigan to step down, and says he hopes his fellow council members will support his prior request to appoint an acting town manager until the Ethics Commission can complete its work.
