(Warwick, RI) -- A new solar farm is operating in Warwick. WPRI-TV reports a ribbon-cutting was held on Monday for the nearly six-and-a-half-megawatt farm on a former brownfield site, to be operated by Southern Sky Renewable Energy. Officials said the electricity generated will be enough to power the city's municipal buildings and helps to meet Governor Gina Raimondo's goal of one-thousand megawatts of clean energy by 2020.
