(Providence, RI) -- Governor Gina Raimondo is reacting after a federal judge in Texas ruled Obamacare to be unconstitutional. U.S. District Judge Reed O'Connor made the ruling on Friday, stating that it was based on Congress removing the individual coverage mandate last year. Raimondo issued a statement on Saturday saying the ruling is dangerous and destructive and threatens the health care coverage of thousands of Rhode Islanders. She says the state's health insurance exchange, HealthSourceRI, remains open for business, and that open enrollment is underway until December 31st.
