(Providence, RI) -- A lawsuit is being filed against the Hope Point Tower project in Providence. Two groups, one a non-profit and the other a real estate appraisal company, filed a suit last Friday in Superior Court against developer Jason Fane's company, the Providence City Council and the I-195 Redevelopment District Commission. The litigation argues that the zoning change that was approved allowing a variance on height restriction is a violation of the city's comprehensive zoning plan. The Fane tower would become the highest in the state.
