TWEETING WHILE ROME BURNS

I don't want to hear a peep of criticism from our DC delegation about President Trump's use of Twitter. Not after Rep David Cicillini got into a war of tweets over of all things Major League Baseball's announcement of this year's Hall of Fame Class. Before Tuesday's announcement, President Trump tweeted out support for Curt Schilling, a staunch support of the President, saying the former Red Sox star deserves to be enshrined in Cooperstown..."Great record especially when under pressue and when it mattered most. Do what everyone in baseball knows what's right." Trump tweeted. Thjat prompted this response from Cicillini: "No @ gehrig38 (Schill's Twitter handle) is a Breitbart troll who defaulted on a loan Rhode Island taxpayers gave him. That is much worse than anything Barry Bonds did." Not to be outdone, Schilling tweeted back "RI taxpayers didn't give me anything. You idiots did." Schill also noted he was approached by the state to bring his now defunct 38 STUDIOS to Rhode Island. Let me pojnt out we are now in WEEK FIVE of a partial government shutdown...the Coast Guard and TSA members, among others looking at missing their second paycheck this...and out lawmakers are arguing with the President about who should make it to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Am I the ONLY person waiting for Rod Serling to show up?
