(Middletown, RI)--A new police chief is being appointed in Middletown.The Newport Daily News reports William Kewer was appointed on Tuesday night and will start his position next month.Kewer is a retired high-ranking Connecticut State Police official.He takes over for Anthony Pesare, who retired in 2018.
