Revision Debunks Half-Million-Plus Job Total Claim

(Providence, RI)--Data is being revised regarding the Rhode Island job market in 2018, which was previously said to have reached a major milestone.The state Department of Labor and Training now indicates Rhode Island never got past the half-million mark for jobs, reaching a high of just under 498-thousand.Governor Gina Raimondo's office claimed in January that jobs in the state ended 2018 with an all-time high -- a total of 505-thousand -- and that there had been over a half-million jobs in the state for over seven consecutive months.
