The world’s most secure and safe smartphone has arrived. DarkMatter, based in Abu Dhabi, made it their corporate mission to “enable businesses and governments to become smart, safe, and cyber-resilient.” The result of that drive is the KATIM R01 smartphone.Here are some of the specs:
- Five-layer hardened shell that can handled being “dropped, run over, and immersed in water.”
- The design is “tamper resistant” and the USB is “protected against data theft and malware.”
- Layers of internal defense to protect against viruses, hacking, and the like.
- A touch screen that’s accurate for operation with gloves and even wet hands.
- Can get extra-loud for noisy environments.
- Comes with 4GB of RAM, but can be boosted to 128GB.
- Gorilla Glass 5, and a 5.65” display
There is a catch, though. You can only purchase the phone through DarkMatter, and pricing is “by request only.”(Don’t forget the old saying: If you have to ask ‘How much?’…you can’t afford it)
