Cheese is delicious, but it apparently gets even better when exposed to hip hop music. Researchers from Bern University of the Arts, in Switzerland, exposed nine wheels of Emmental cheese to either a hip hop track, a classic rock song, or classical music for 24 hours a day. Mini transmitters were used to conduct the energy of the music into the cheese. Researchers say exposing any cheese to any music causes changes in "strength of flavor, smell and taste," but the cheese exposed to hip hop music showed the greatest increase in fruitiness. The next part of the experiment will focus only on hip hop's effects on cheese.
