The FDA is warning people to throw out some batches of Darwin's Natural Pet Products dog food after samples tested positive for salmonella.
The agency says it's a serious risk to human and animal health. The lots include Natural Selections Chicken Recipe with Organic Vegetables for Dogs and Natural Selections Turkey Recipe with Organic Vegetables for Dogs. The exact code numbers of the potentially tainted food are available at www.FDA.gov.
The agency also asks people to throw it away in sealed containers that can't be accessed by wildlife. The pet foods are sold directly online.
