(Cranston, RI) -- A correctional officer at the ACI is facing charges for allegedly giving a cell phone to an inmate. Rhode Island State Police reports indicate Christopher Jimenez of Providence allowed an inmate being held at the Intake Service Center to use his phone to make calls last month, and the inmate reportedly arranged for the delivery of a gift card to a local restaurant to Jimenez. RISP says Jimenez has been placed on paid administrative leave.
