(Cranston, RI)--Governor Gina Raimondo's administration is releasing a consultant's study that says renovating the state's maximum-security prison makes financial sense.The report, released Monday, indicates the state will save over 40-million dollars over 30 years through reduced staffing and operational costs if it renovates the highest-security part of the Adult Correctional Institutions.The union representing the ACI's correctional officers is strongly opposed to the plan.
