(Providence, RI)--The co-founder of a private equity firm is announcing a 25-million-dollar gift to the economics department of Brown University.Orlando Bravo, the co-founder of Thoma Bravo LLC, graduated from Brown with a B.A. in economics and political science in 1992.The native of Puerto Rico says the university gave him the skills and confidence to pursue a professional career.Bravo says Brown's economics department is at the forefront of research being done on income inequality and social mobility, two areas he says are important to him and his foundation.
