(Providence, RI)--A multi-million-dollar investment is being announced in connection to a future Rhode Island wind energy endeavor.Orsted and Eversource, the team behind the Revolution Wind project, are pledging three-million dollars for offshore wind education at the University of Rhode Island and another one-point-five-million for the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training to support the development of the state's offshore wind supply chain and workforce.Officials hope to begin construction next year on the 400-megawatt wind turbine farm south of the Rhode Island coast.
