(Providence, RI) -- Governor Gina Raimondo's administration is planning to dock Medicaid payments from some nursing homes in the state. The Providence Journal reports starting next month, that action will be taken against facilities that have not reimbursed the state after they were advanced money while the state's UHIP computer system worked through the applications of prospective nursing home patients. Most of the nursing homes involved reportedly received double payments for the same residents.
