(Providence, RI)--Providence Mayor Jorge Elorza released his proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2020 on Tuesday night.Elorza's budget is just under 773-million dollars, which is a three-percent increase over the current fiscal year.It lowers some residential property tax rates due to a city-wide re-valuation of properties.The amount of money included for public schools in the capital city is an increase over the current fiscal year by one-and-a-half-million dollars.
