(Vicksburg, MS)--Donations are being solicited to help fix a statue of a Civil War infantry soldier from Rhode Island that was knocked down by tornadoes in Mississippi.The group Friends of Vicksburg National Military Park says two twisters crossed the park in mid-April, causing significant damage to the Rhode Island monument.The group estimates the cost to fix it is 15-thousand dollars.
