(Providence, RI)--Seastreak, the provider of the Providence-to-Newport ferry, says it isn't starting the seasonal service on-time.The ferry has encountered a few problems described by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation as mechanical in nature.Seastreak says the problems are being addressed and that the ferry should resume service on Saturday.RIDOT says a substitute ferry will go to Bristol only.
