The Best And Worst States For Jobs

If you’re someone, like say a new college grad, looking for a job, where you live may be a big factor in whether or not you find your perfect gig. There’s no doubt that in some states finding a job is easier than in others, and a new report reveals where you should be thinking of moving if you want to make things easier for you. 

WalletHub just came out with their list of the Best and Worst Sates for Jobs, looking at the 50 states on 33 key indicators of job-market strength, opportunity and healthy economy. Factors looked at include things like median annual income average, employment growth, commute time and more.

So where should job seekers be heading to? Well, apparently Massachusetts, which scores a 71.88 out of 100, and is number one in job market, although it ranks 16thin economic environment. Washington state, which comes in second overall, is tops for economic environment.

  3. Colorado
  4. Vermont
  5. New Hampshire
  6. Minnesota
  7. Delaware
  8. New Jersey
  9. California
  10. Rhode Island 

On the flipside, West Virginia is the worst state for jobs, scoring just a 34.83 out of 100, and coming in close to the bottom for both economic environment and job market.
