(West Warwick, RI)--The Catholic Diocese of Providence is planning to merge two parishes in West Warwick.The diocese said yesterday that Saint Mary and Saints John and James parishes will merge on July 1st.Attendance declines and key retirements were factors, according to the church.The Saint Mary's building is the oldest church still being used in the diocese.
