New Study Links Medication To Dementia

A new study shows a link between some common drugs and dementia. The research published in the JAMA Internal Medicine journal found that drugs like antidepressants, antipsychotics and antiepileptic drugs are associated with a 50-percent increased risk of dementia.

The scientists behind the study say it adds to the growing body of evidence that these types of drugs have associations with dementia risk. Despite the new study, the researchers warn that people shouldn't stop taking their medication, but should talk to their doctors if they're concerned.
