(Bristol, RI)--There was a demonstration last night in front of the home of a prominent Bristol resident accused of sexual abuse.The gathering was for David Barboza, who has served as a police officer and town councilman, among other roles.The Boston Globe has reported on a lawsuit filed by one of the alleged victims, Robert Powers, and the state police report included in his suit that indicates there were two others that claimed abuse.Powers was at yesterday's protest, which was reported as peaceful.Barboza has denied allegations against him.
