(Providence, RI)--The Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission approved a National Grid rate hike on Wednesday for a six-month period starting in October.Residential bills will increase by about eight-percent, or nine-dollars a month.National Grid officials said this year's winter increase won't be as substantial as the last two winter seasons.
