Former MIT Director Named In New Epstein Report Now At Brown

(Providence, RI)--A director at Brown University is placed on leave after a report of donations being received from Jeffrey Epstein at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.According to a story in The New Yorker, measures were taken to keep donations from Epstein to MIT's Media Lab anonymous in 2014, six years after he pleaded guilty to a sex charge involving a minor; Epstein was listed as "disqualified" from MIT's donor list.Peter Cohen, now Brown's director of development for computer and data science initiatives, was previously the director of development at the Media Lab.The lab's director, Joi Ito, has resigned in connection to the scandal.
