(Coventry, RI)--A Vietnam veteran in hospice care in Rhode Island was recently asked by his caretakers how they could help him.He said he wanted a convertible ride with three nurses, and he got that wish on Monday.Patrick Lonergan, who has terminal COPD, has been in hospice care at the Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island in Coventry.Officials there commented on how thoughtful he has been while in the hospice in explaining how they wanted to help him.A local dealership provided a Bentley for Lonergan and the nurses to go for the ride yesterday.
