Inmates Escape From Ohio Jail After Overpowering Guards

A manhunt is underway in Ohio after four inmates escaped from the county jail in Gallia County. According to the Sheriff's Office, the four men overpowered two female corrections officers with a homemade weapon – known colloquially as a ‘shiv’ – early yesterday morning.

The men then forced open a secured door and fled...to a car that was said to be waiting about a block away. Authorities say the men should be considered extremely dangerous. They have been identified as:

  • 40-year-old Brynn Martin (He was being held on charges of felony breaking and entering, felony receiving stolen property, two counts of failure to appear and escaping jail.
  • 24-year-old Christopher Clemente (He was being held on charges of indictment for two felony counts of complicity to trafficking in drugs)
  • 29-year-old Lawrence Lee III (He was being held on charges of felony identity fraud, misdemeanor obstructing official business and misdemeanor assault)
  • 30-year-old Troy McDaniel Jr. (He was being held on charges of failing to appear in Gallia County Juvenile Court for non-support of dependent)
