(Providence, RI)--The first lawsuit is being filed over Catholic priest sex abuse following the passage of a Rhode Island law to increase the time window for litigation.Philip Edwardo's suit against the Providence Diocese and church officials alleges he was abused while he was an altar boy by the Reverend Philip Magaldi at St. Anthony Church in North Providence in the 1970s and 80s.Magaldi, who died in 2008, was on a diocesan list of credibly-accused priests from earlier this year.
