(Burrillville, RI)--Sanctions are being announced following an alleged racial incident at an athletic event at Burrillville High School.A committee of the Rhode Island Interscholastic League is placing Burrillville on probation after the alleged incident last month at a volleyball home game against Central Falls.Burrillville High students will not be allowed to attend the next match, scheduled for Wednesday.The Burrillville School Department sent out an email after the decision was made on Friday, telling parents the high school's own investigation into the incident found no evidence of racial slurs or blatantly racist actions by fans.
