Anti-Vax Mom Claims She Handed Out Chickenpox Tainted Candy For Halloween

An Australian mother has set an investigation into motion for claiming she tainted lollipops with chickenpox and handed them out to trick-or-treaters.

The woman ,who identifies herself as Sarah Walker, R.N., shared on the Facebook group “Stop Mandatory Vaccination,” that her son has chickenpox and that she planned to "help" other children in the community by handing out the laced candy.

She shared, "So my beautiful son has the chickenpox at the moment and we've both decided to help others with natural immunity this Halloween! We have the packaging open and closing down pat and can't wait to help others in our community."

A screenshot was shared on Light for Riley, a page dedicated to protecting "babies & families from vaccine-preventable diseases" in honor of Riley Hughes, a baby boy who died from whooping cough in March 2015.

Walker went after the critics saying "You think you’re right by judging me and my trying to report me and get me fired. I don’t care. The health and wellbeing of my baby is far more valuable than any job." The good news is, the risk of infection from the candy is low. But if Walker’s caught, she’ll face jailtime.
